FISHING

The River Tweed, famous for it's salmon fishing is only a short drive from us and you are able to purchase a permit for fishing both Salmon or Brown Trout. The closest fishing site is about a 15 minute drive from us near Allanton and is on the White Adder (there is a great pub here too if you are wanting a bite to eat, you can also buy your permit from the Allanton Inn)

SURFING, COSTEERING AND STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING

Coldingham is popular for beginner surfers and is a short drive away if you fancy trying to catch a wave or two. St Vedas surf shop offers lessons and you can also hire, Surf Boards, Kayaks, Snorkelling Gear, and Body Boards.

Coast to Coast, near Dunbar which is about 40 minutes up the coast also offers those who are keen to put on a wet suit the option to try Coasteering, SUP and Surfing.


SCUBA DIVING

Although Scuba Diving may not be the first activity that springs to mind when you think about coming to Scotland, we actually have some of the best dive spots in the UK right on our door step. You might even be lucky enough to dive with the seals or maybe even a dolphin. Both Eyemouth and St Abbs have some great dive sites that can be explored including wrecks.


GOLF

With 21 golf courses within the Scottish Borders there are plenty for you to choose from if you want to practise your swing. Eyemouth is our closest with an 18 hole golf course, club house, golf shop and stunning coastal views.  Or you could opt to pop over the border and play on the championship golf course at Goswick, which is just 6 miles outside of Berwick. Alternatively if you really want to get in as much golf as possible you could travel 30 minutes up the East Coast to Scotland renowned Golf Coast which boasts 21 golf courses along 30 miles of fabulous coastline.


HORSE RIDING

The Borders has some lovely countryside to explore and what better way to do it than on horse back. There are a number of local horse riding centres near by that offer trekking and horse riding lessons depending on what you are looking for. Eat Sleep Ride is the nearest centre to us.


CYCLING

If you are a keen cyclist you will love that you can literally step out of your hut and be on cycle route 76! We have some great cycle routes in and around the area which we will be more than happy to share with you. You can either bring your own bikes or you can hire them from Berwick Cycles, who also arrange cycling tours if you would rather an organised bike ride.
