Lovely country pub, great place to go after visiting Paxton House or taking a walk around the grounds. Great Sunday lunch but best to book ahead. Has a lovely cosy fire in the winter.
AUDELA - Berwick-Upon-Tweed (10 minute drive)
Audela offers you something a little bit special and is great for a celebration and the chance to get dressed up for dinner. They occasionally do tasting menus and always try to use as many local ingredients as they can.
FOXTONS- Berwick-Upon-Tweed (10 minute drive)
Lovely just for a drink or two or for an evening meal. It's more than just pub grub and usually has a good selection of daily specials. It's situated at the bottom of Berwick-Upon-Tweed, so you could go for a walk around the walls to build up an appetite beforehand.
EBBCARRS CAFE- St Abbs (20 minute drive)
Dog Friendly - Dogs are more than welcome in the outside seating area, with water bowls available.
Try doing the short walk from Coldingham Bay to St Abbs and reward yourself with a tasty treat at Ebbcarr's cafe. They also do some great fresh seafood, panini's and light meals.
GIACOPAZZI'S - Eyemouth (10 minute drive)
Well you can not come to the coast without treating yourself to fish and chips! Whether you choose to bring them back to Little Lamberton or you eat them on the beach in Eyemouth, they taste good either way! You could also try Giacopazzi's award winning ice cream!
Food Trail and Farmers Markets
If you love your food and enjoy visiting a farmers market or local food producers then you are coming to the right place. We are very lucky to have some amazing local food produce some of which you will get to try in your breakfast hamper but there is much more out there. Here are a few of our suggestions:
Kelso Farmers Market - Held on the 4th Saturday of every month, plenty of local producers bring their wares for you to sample and of course buy!
St Abbs Market - Held at the Ebba Centre, there are stalls selling local food, crafts, baking, art, fashions, accessories, photography, woodcrafts, stitch-crafts, knitwear, gifts and jewellery to name but a few.
Border Berries - If you are visiting us in July or August why don't you go and pick your own at Borders Berries in Kelso.
Born in the Borders - If you are into your beer or gin you make want to make a visit. We are certainly a fan of the Lilliards Gin.
Hammond Charcuterie - If you love your cured meats then this Berwick based Business might be right up your street. They do go to the local farmer markets but you can visit them at their site if you make an appointment.
Belhaven Smokehouse -If you enjoy smoked salmon why not visit the Belhaven Smokehouse and pick up some local salmon.
Berwick Beer and Food Festival
If you are staying with us at the beginning of September you may be here during the Berwick Beer and Food Festival which has plenty of street food and drink to try as well as some great local music. Its something we enjoy every year, especially if the Alpacas make a visit!
