RIB RIDES

Are you a bit of a thrill seeker? If so you will love the Rib rides that go from St Abbs with Riptide. They do have a more leisurely ride if you would prefer this. You may even get to spot some of our local dolphins. 

KELSO AND MUSSELBURGH RACES

We are really lucky to have two race courses so close to us so if you fancy a day at the races why not head to one of them.  Kelso is a National Hunt Racecourse staging jumps racing from September through until May and these race days are always very popular so we recommend you purchase tickets before you go.  Musselburgh is the other racecourse close-by and is the only all year round course in Scotland with both flat and jump racing.  Look at their website to see if there is a meet on during your stay with us, it's just under an hour way.

BERWICK SPEEDWAY

Want to see the Berwick Bandits compete against other teams in motorcycle racing? Well you can head to Shielfield Park in Berwick on a Saturday night and see if they come out on top!

THE MALTINGS

The Maltings in Berwick often has some great theatre productions on so have a look and see what is on during your stay, if you fancy a night at the theatre.

LOCAL COMMON RIDING'S/FESTIVALS

The Scottish Borders are well renowned for their tradition of riding the boundaries on horse back every year. There are 11 Border towns that take part in this historical tradition and each have their own way of celebrating but most will have songs, music, parades and concerts which the whole town takes part in. If you are here during one of the festivals (they run from June to August) it is well worth going along.  Please ask us for more information.
